  • What's causing rust in my faucets or tub? Can it be fixed?

Unusual amounts of iron in the water can cause rust stains in your appliances. Having iron in your water is not healthy, and not just because it stains your fixtures. It can also cause sediment and a metallic taste. We can help you find a filter or softener to remove iron from your water supply.

  • What's the difference between a drinking water system and a store-bought filter?

A store-bought filter does address some minor issues, such as the taste of tap water. However, it does not actually address the underlying problems, such as the reason for the odor or bad taste. A professional water treatment system works to clean contaminants from the water supply, improving the overall quality.

  • What is the difference between hard water and soft water?

Hard water is water that contains a significant amount of minerals. These minerals can create build-up on fixtures, soap scum, and irritation to the skin, hair, and eyes. Softened water means that the minerals have been removed and it no longer causes health issues. Soft water also leaves cleansed items, like dishes or clothes, absolutely clean.

  • How often is system maintenance needed?

Although these systems typically require very little maintenance, every system is different. As a precaution, we recommend quarterly maintenance of your Los Angeles water filtration system or water softener, but it also depends on the suggestion of the manufacturer, which is usually found in the manual you receive during installation.

At Niagara Pure Water Treatment, we have extensive training and knowledge so we can offer maintenance at an additional cost so you don't have to worry about your equipment.

  • Why choose Evolve products?

If you think it's time to install or replace your home water treatment system, we can help. As a certified dealer of quality Evolve products, we help homeowners like yourself all over Los Angeles improve the quality of your water. Evolve is an industry-leading manufacturer, offering innovative solutions for water treatment.

  • Can a water softener protect my tankless water heater?

Yes. A water softener can protect your tankless water heater from deposits and buildup that could void the manufacturer’s warranty on your unit.

  • If I get a water softener, will there be salt in my water?

A minuscule amount of salt will make its way into your water. If you absolutely do not want any salt in your water, you could use potassium chloride or install a reverse osmosis system which does a great job of filtering water.

  • Will my water bill go up with a water softener or filtration system?

It is reasonable to expect an increase in your water bill after installing a water softener. That is because it needs to flush out the calcium from its tank. This cost can easily be offset by increasing the lifespan of plumbing appliances, reducing energy bills, and increasing the value of your home.

  • Can I manage my systems when I’m away from home or on vacation?

We are very proud to offer WiFi compatible technology with our products. Give us a call today at (310) 683-2300 to learn more!
